ROLF ARNDT, MD
Dr. Arndt has been in practice at St. Johns Tower Imaging for over 30 years. His areas of expertise include musculoskeletal and breast imaging. He received his training in diagnostic radiology at UCLA Center for Health Sciences where he retains an appointment as associate clinical professor and received the Annual Outstanding Visiting Professor Award in 1995.
Dr. Arndt is among the pioneers in pre-operative breast needle localization of breast abnormalities. His paper describing the procedure was first published in 1976 and is recognized as a precursor for the currently well-established mammographic technique.
Dr. Arndt holds memberships in the American College of Radiology, California Radiological Society, Los Angeles Radiological Society and the Society of Breast Imaging.
Dr. Arndt has authored both scientific papers and textbooks including Clinical Arthrography 1st and 2nd edition. He was the American translator of the English edition of the European textbook Mammography.
